GW and Space Marines

So, if you haven't already heard about this, Games Workshop, makers of Warhammer 40K, has started throwing their legal weight around lately, trying to convince everyone that they own the phrase "Space Marine". 

The position of most people is that "Space Marine" was originally coined by Robert Heinlein, author of Starship Troopers.  All of this wouldn't be a big deal if GW hadn't started trying to keep authors from using the phrase "Space Marine" through lawsuits, etc.  Like this, for instance.

So, I saw this on the Internet the other day, and thought I'd repost it.

Zombie Garden Gnomes

Last year, we purchased a pink flamingo for my father in-law for his birthday.  Unlike most flamingos he has, this has been killed and is being eaten by, zombie garden gnomes. It was purchased here. The lawn ornament did not weather well over the summer, and they gave it to me to fix up as this year's birth day gift for my father in-law.

Adventure name: Last Stand at Outpost Three

Last session, the party saved the House Klethira mining town of Duvik's Pass from the ravages of the Burning Plague.  AS a reward, they received shares of the impending sale of the mine's obsidian.  To collect, they would have to accompany the shipment of obsidian back to the city-state of Urik.  The caravan that would be transporting the obsidian would not arrive for a week, so the party decided to go back to the village of Dorian's Well to drop off the supplies scavenged from the ruined caravan (that they were originally sent to find) and buy some potion fruits.  They unload the supplies, buy the entire stock of potion fruits (six!) and head back to Duvik's Pass.

Adventure name: The Burning Plague

As the session begins, the party descends into the mines again after a rest in town.  Exploring deeper into the earth, they find a natural cavern piled high with the bodies of the missing miners as well as the less lucky members of the halfling group.  Unsurprisingly, undead rise up out of the sea of bodies.  The zombies soon surround the party and our heroes are hard pressed to cut down the undead hoard. Just as the party begings to get the upper hand, Grom scores a Critical Hit, neatly severing the head of one of the zombies; unfortunately this does not stop the zombie from continuing it's assault. Eventually, Russk and Grom eventually lay enough of the creatures to rest that Sadiria can start blasting the shambling dead apart with her psionic powers.
