Session 19: (11/11/14)
Adventure name: Veiled Threats / Relic Hunt
Current PCs / NPCs
Grom Dunestalker - Half-Giant Psionic Warrior (PC)
Lain - Half-Elf Bard (NPC)
Sadiria - Half-Elf Wilder (NPC)
Russk - Mul (stated as a Half-Orc) Fighter (NPC)
Thrassos Haruk - Human Driud (NPC)
Filled with dread from their encounter with templars, the group decides to go and sell their arcane contraband in Urik's Elven Market.
Before they can even identify a likely looking merchant to approach, the party hears a shout: ‘Stop criminals!’ A patrol of guards lead by templars is raiding the Market, and one of the templars is pointing at THEM!
Before they can even begin to fight their way out of this situation, a series of glowing magical sparks fire off from behind them, slamming into one of the guards. In the midst of all of the people trying to flee, Grom sees a young man standing near them with a scarf obscuring his face. They can almost hear him smile as he says ‘Your turn.’
The battle is short but intense, with Sadira getting stunned from a templar's spell as soon as combat began. But the party quickly prevails. After they escape the dragnet together, the young man brushes his hand across his face (over-top of the scarf), and says: “Thanks for the help, look for me at the Angry Giant some time.”
Grom decides to go looking for some political (and physical) shelter, and ends up searching out the Academy of the Phoenix, a psionic monastery and training center for psionic warriors. After a bit of hemming and hawing, he is admitted as a member and even given his first assignment to prove himself: go to a recently uncovered ruin and retrieve any artifact that is obviously from the Green Age, to add to the prestige of the monastery.
After giving things a chance to cool down, the group returns to the elven market to procure some magical or psi-enhanced items. Things go smoothly, for a change.

Outstanding Plot Hooks:
- Templar Mission 1: “Someone is selling contraband water, flouting the king’s laws. This criminal must be dealt with – harshly, and their source of water identified.”
- Templar Mission 2: “Go see what the Demesh family wants. I’m too busy to deal with the petty concerns of the nobles.”
- Is the party willing to risk exposure as escaped slaves in meeting with the Demesh family (their former owners), or will they try the temper of a templar?
- What dangers and treasures await the party within the Green Age ruin?
- Will the name "The Angry Giant" be prophetically named, or will our heroes find allies there?
